The mail retrieval will attempt to retrieve incoming emails up to 10 times from the email server. After 10 errors, the retrieval will stop.
If this happens the communication issue with your email server will need to be resolved and then the retrieval counter in SARA will need to be reset to allow communications again.
Common things to review when troubleshooting are:

Verify if there have been any changes made on the email server (login/password/permissions/firewall/etc.)

Can you send or receive from another source with the same settings defined in SARA? (example: Microsoft Outlook)
After this is resolved, test the incoming and outgoing settings from within SARA.
Once the incoming and outgoing settings have been tested and passed if emails are still not being received

Verify if the retrieve emails flag needs to be reset (because of errors)

Make sure that the emails you are expecting to be pulled into SARA are marked as unread on your email server
