Testing the email settings in SARA can be done by going to Admin> Settings & Utilities> Site Options

Select the Mail Settings tab

Click the purple Mail Settings button

Click Edit next to the setting you want to test

Use the 'Test Outgoing settings' and/or 'Test Incoming settings' buttons to make sure everything is functioning correctly.

Once you have tested the Incoming or Outgoing settings, you will also need to go to Admin> Settings & Utilities> Mail Retrieval

Under Mail Retrieval, check if there is an Error Count of 10. If so, a reset button will be available for you to click to restart the mail retrieval process.
