OVERVIEW
You can send automated emails to your customers letting them know that the Credit Card they have on file is either expired or on the verge of expiring. Two new fields were added to the Credit Class setup page: CC Expired Now and CC Expiring Soon.
These fields are only available on customer level activity on the Credit Class setup page.
HOW IT WORKS

The CC Expired Now field will search for any customer assigned to that credit class that has a saved credit card on file that is currently expired.

The CC Expiring Soon field will search for any customer assigned to that has a saved credit card on file that will expire any time in the upcoming 90 days.
On the "Admin Master Files Credit Class" page, you will need to create a new customer level activity. When setting up the new activity, make sure the "View Type" is set to "Customer View."
When editing the filter for the customer level activity, add either the "CC Expired Now" field or the "CC Expiring Soon" field, then set it not equal to 0. (See below)
These fields will search for any account that has a card saved. Setting the filter to "Equal To 1" will only search for accounts that have one card saved. So setting it to "Not Equal To 0" will search for any account, regardless of how many cards they have saved.
The system will do a check against the saved card information. If the "Expiration Date" field for any card falls into these filters, they will be included in the next round of emails that are sent out.
SUMMARY
To create the activity alert, you will need to first create a communication template and an activity template. The articles below will assist in the creation of these. The steps for completing the setup are as follows:

Create a Communication Template (Admin Master Files Communication Template)

Create a new Activity Template (Admin Master Files Activity Template)

Create a new Activity Alert (Admin Master Files Credit Class)

Assign the Activity Template to the Activity Alert.

Create the Customer Level filter that uses the two new CC Expires fields.

Verify the new Activity Template and Communication Template are referenced in this setup.

Change the Activity Type to "Email Send."

Save to finalize the setup.
