Best practice to setup a new user:

Discussion of user types (Credit manager / Credit / inquiry) and admin permissions.
Credit:

Have access to all the menu and activities throughout the system. (These can be restricted based on the Role Setting.)

Can be assigned to specific customer and /or associated with the other credit users.

Dashboard summaries of customers managed only.
Inquiry:
1. Have limited access to menus and activities
2.Have no access to the Calendar, Issues and Mail menu options
3. Can have other inquiry user assigned in order to allow group or manager type groupings
4. Must be assigned to an Inquiry Group that is associated with customers and their data that you want this user to see.
5. Can make credit card payments for customers (inquiries by Account Statement)
Credit Manager:

Same as Credit with the additional Dashboard Summaries of all users they manager
Admin Permissions:

Users with admin permissions can configure and manager features in AdminMaster Files and AdminSetting and Utilities

A combination of manual and auto might be used if your setup currently has manual assignments, but an auto assignment configuration was developed, and you only want it applied to new customers.
Setup users as teams

Within User Setup in AdminMaster FilesUser is a feature called Assign Users to this user
Credit User:

The user must be saved before this feature is available

Create a team to allow for Users to see each other’s customers

Temporarily assign a User to another User to cover vacation/sick time

Allow all feature- This would give the user access to all customers within the system

When assigning user to other users, it will allow them to manage each other’s home screen tiles
Credit Manager:

Setup a Credit Manager for each team to allow for a Dashboard Summary for the team

Create a Credit Manager for all user to be assigned to, this will allow for a site roll-up for the entire company in the Dashboard
