The ability to do credit memo applications within SARA Collect is allowed through an option in the Company Master File. This options, when set, can be done for just applications or in conjunction with credit card or ACH payments.
To setup option to allow ability to apply credit memos:
Go To Admin Master FileCompany
Edit the company ID
Select a drop down from Allow Application of Credit Memos

None (No one can apply credit memos)

Credit(Only Credit Users can apply Credit Memos)

All (Credit Users and Customers through the online portal can apply Credit Memos)
Click Update
How To Apply Credit Memos:

Search for a customer or select one from my Accounts

Go to InqBy AccountStatement

Select the Credit memo and adjust the amount if needed (must be negative)

Select the invoice and adjust the amount (If Online Bill Pay is setup, the amount can be greater than the Credit Memo amount)

Click Apply Payments(if only applying credit memo) Make a payment is making a payment on top of the Credit Memo
To view payment applications:
Navigate to InqBy useronline payment

Click details

Here you can see both credit memo application and online payments
Special Notes:
Credit Memo Applications will need to be entered into your ERP system for the invoice reflect the application
Alerts can be setup in the Inqby useronline payment view. The alert can be sent to a user for any new credit memo application (please contact support if you need any help setting up this alert)
