1. Updating customer, contact, and other data is critical to the continuity of your receivables. The Mass Update Utility provides an easy way to update the data within SARA with bulk updates, along with easy grid data entry screens.
2. Admin rights for the user are required when accessing this utility from the menu, Admin > Settings & Utilities > Mass Update.
3. There are 6 entities within the SARA data that can be updated within this utility, including:
- Customers
- Contacts
- Invoices
- Invoice Lines
- Customer Payments
- Customer Payment Appl (Applications)
4. User-defined fields (UDFs) can be updated for each of the above entities. Filter or sort the data in any manner, then update the data for the UDF within the grid. The column will be in bold green to indicate a field that can be updated/maintained.
5. Options for contacts are important for setting up the auto emails and templates. There are specific options on the contact entity for updating the contact information, including:

Set Primary Contact Flag

Set Keep Contact in Sync Flag

Set Include in Email Flag (if email exists)

Set Contacts as Inactive
6. The ability to delete the ERP data is also available for each entity. In some instances, the data may have been incorrectly brought into the system through the sync process. Click here for more info
