Advanced Alerts can provide users an email notification to indicate specific information related to sync and generation status, i.e., failed sync, sync with no end time, generation that has not completed, generation with errors.
Admin users have the ability to access the 'Logs' page to setup this automated alert for a user:
-
Admin>Settings & Utilities>Logs:
-
Account Sync Sessions
-
Generation (credit class generation)
-
For Failed Syncs:
-
Select "Failed" view located in the top right
-
Click the Filter builder icon
-
Click the '+' to the right of AND to add a new expression
-
Click on the field name drop down and find and select the 'SyncStartDateDays'
-
Update the operator using the drop down, example displaying 'LessThan'
-
Update the number of days to filter, example selecting failed syncs in the last 7 days
-
Click Apply
-
After the grid loads the updated data, select the "Alert" icon located in the toolbar near the top of the page.
-
Input a name for the alert you are creating and select the save button to the right of this name.
-
This will prompt a new window where we can describe this alert and choose to show this alert in the view tab. We can select which users this alert gets sent to here. The alert will go to the email address associated with that specific SARA Collect user. Set these and save your changes using the save button.
-
Saving on this page will take us back to the logs screen. We now have to schedule the alert to go out. Select the "Alerts" button once again and you'll see a list of your alerts appear.
-
On the schedule page, select your time zone, select a start date/time for this alert to be sent, and choose the frequency at which you want this alert to be sent. You can have it sent hourly, weekly, or monthly.
-
Make sure the" Enabled" button is checked on this menu.
-
Save the schedule you have setup using the "Save" button on this window.
-
Now we want to save our changes to this specific alert. This can be done by selecting the floppy disc icon in the alert list.
-
Once this is done, select close and your alert is now created. You will begin receiving the alerts in your email on the date and time you setup the schedule.
